| Description | The setting is a river ford with groups of animals; cattle, goats, sheep and dogs on both riverbanks and on a path leading off across a hillside in the direction of a distant mountain. There are three figures on the near bank; a woman on a horse, conversing with another woman who carries a basket. Both the horse woman and a man standing further off carry long cattle prods. On the far bank is a man with packhorses and sheep while other travellers can be seen at the height of the hillside path. |
